Student Elections 2021-22

 

The Student Election nominations are now live for 2021-22!

BPCSU have launched nominations for the Student Elections for the next academic year. A nominations application pack can be downloaded from our website here, or it can be sent directly to any student that emails us at: studentsunion@bpc.ac.uk.

You can nominate yourself for a Student Executive role, by completing the form at the end of the pack and emailing it back to the Students’ Union. Or, you can complete the online form here!

 

Nominations close on Friday 30^th April.

Voting opens on Monday 3^rd May.

Voting closes at 2pm on Friday 7^th May, with the results being announced from 4pm!

 

 

Why should you take part?

 

Getting involved with the Students’ Union gives you valuable experience, that you can add to your CV to boost your job prospects. The same goes for standing in the elections, the skills that you learn just by standing for election are endless. Employers are looking for your grades, but they also want to know that you get involved with other activities whilst you are studying. BPCSU offer a range of extra-curricular enrichment that all students can participate in and we offer a range of Executive positions to suit everyone’s interests.

 

 

What are the advantages?

 

There are many benefits to nominating yourself for an Executive role:

 

• Opportunity to help drive change at the College
• Ability to make a positive impact by leading campaigns and organising events and meetings
• Gain a strong understanding of how the College is run, by attending meetings with the Principal, the Board of Governors and Senior Staff members
• Create new friendships from students on other courses and improve communication skills
• Increase employability skills through developing leadership and multi-tasking qualities, producing action plans and undertaking budgeting tasks
• Receive a wide range of volunteering opportunities in and outside of the College

 

Make sure you complete the nominations form and submit it before Friday 30th April, to be in with the exciting chance of joining the Student Executive Committee for 2021 - 2022!
